BRIEF SUMMARY:
Assistant Inspector Takeuchi Koji (Watase Tsunehiko) had failed to protect the
prime minister 15 years ago while guarding him. The prime minister was attacked
and as a result, Takeuchi was kept away from frontline duty. However, he is
designated to be a security police again by that prime minister’s daughter,
Ishinabe Kiriko (Takahata Atsuko), who has become a female politician. Although
Kiriko is ostensibly a highly popular politician with the common people, she
fires security police from the job one after another, ignores their warnings and
acts on her own. In contrast to her glamour and approachability, she is selfish
and not easy to handle. In the midst of this, a murder bearing the same
hallmarks as the stalking-murder that Takeuchi did not prevent, and which led to

BRIEF SUMMARY: Journalist
Noriko working for a magazine has been assigned by her boss to interview a
psychic living in Kyoto who claims that she can see one's previous/past life.
" She is either lying or crazy, how ridiculous is that! she must be one of those
tarot card readers on the street trying to get famous". Noriko is thinking
to herself..... but work is work, she heads out to meet the lady..
" In your past life, you were the brilliant
Italian sculptor in the 15th century named
Desiderio da Settignano". The
psychic tells Noriko, she then goes on telling Noriko everything from his birth,
families, marriage, work and death about the sculptor. Speechless, Noriko
is not sure what to write about this unreal interview. " Well, she knew I
was coming, she must've done the homework and memorized everything".
Noriko once again justifying herself. To prove she is right, she starts to
research on this 15th century sculptor that no one in Japan has heard of.
With very limited information, She soon finds out that this Desiderio da
Settignano had great influence on Da Vinci and
Michelangelo. The deeper she digs , the more baffled she becomes, pretty
much everything she has found about
the sculptor is somewhat different then what she was told... even some of the
famous sculptures that he has supposedly done somehow none of them is under his
name. " This guy did exist, he was real and famous during his time. what
is going on? I must find out the truth".
Without any hesitation, Noriko heads to
Florence, Italy. The birth place of
Desiderio da Settignano.
As she comes face to face with the art works and the real story about Desiderio
da Settignano. Slowly, Noriko uncovers the new facts which overturns the
established theory of the history of the arts that has been buried 500 years
ago.

劇 情﹕正在追蹤犯人的生活安全課的竹內警部候，很快就上氣不接下氣，甚至腳步紊亂跌倒了，幸好年輕的刑警們趕到抓到了逃跑的犯人，因為這樣的不成樣子感到了年歲不饒人這樣的竹內的管轄內發生了年輕女性被勒殺的事件。根據後輩的磯貝的報告，下半身裸露，臉上蓋著潔白的手絹。這和15年前雷同的手法的殺人事件……回憶起過去的竹內吩咐磯貝調查兩件事情是否有關聯。
一面竹內被長岡警備課課長叫去，說是接替石鍋元首相的首相的女兒石鍋紀裡子議員希望竹內作為自己的警護人員。因為受到國民的喜愛而有些任意妄為，雖然接到威脅卻因為不滿意警護人員，接二連三的開除了警衛人員，並說老練的人可靠，指名要竹內。
實際竹內以前是前首相石鍋的特別警護人員，15年前正在警護時受到男子襲擊而失態，從那以來就遠離了特別警護人員的工作。那樣的竹內的女兒紀裡子為什麼還要指名要自己呢。我自己不能拒絕。竹內向長岡低下了頭。
磯貝報告說已經開始了15年前女性殺害事件的調查，由此竹內回憶起15年前作為石鍋總理的特別警護的時候。那位女性被殺害前5天，竹內收到寫有公寓門牌號的便條，說是希望得到救助，希望受到保護。雖然希望幫助被變態跟蹤的女性可是當時作為石鍋的特別警護的工作非常繁忙，沒有辦法抽身。雖然警護途中看到女性和人爭執，可是據說在那之後就被殺害了。並且那位女性的8歲的女兒也被捲入到事件裡去了。
因為聽到事件而精力分散，致使犯下首相被莽漢襲擊的錯誤。 因為有那樣的痛苦的經歷，所以竹內來到石鍋家，見到紀裡子，說是因為年紀的原因準備拒絕。可是，紀裡子拿出父親石鍋被襲擊的事件，說是要有借有還。沒有辦法辯解的竹內只能低頭道歉，即使這樣紀裡子還是激烈非難竹內。並強行決定竹內作自己的特別警護。
年輕的特別警護真田和由紀和竹內，因為紀裡子收到威脅信而高度警備，可是紀裡子卻依然我行我素，而且所到之處總是被中高年女性粉絲包圍，使得竹內他們常常措手不及。
紀裡子回到當地京都。竹內等特別警護拚命保護被當地支持者包圍的紀裡子。並且紀裡子還作出預定表裡沒有的安排，突然要和弟弟洋介聚餐。而且每晚還被要求做足下按摩，被派出去買東買西等等非常規要求。竹內要求秘書的花輪一定要嚴守預定表，正在說話間，紀裡子卻不見了。

劇 情﹕一天雜誌記者森下典子（杏）接到了一件工作——“去見一位自稱可以看到前世的女性，讓她透視你的前世，把這個結果寫成報導”。“什麼能看到前世，這個人要麼是有幻想症、要麼就是在撒謊…”典子心裏帶著懷疑向這名女性居住的京都出發了。 迎接典子的是一位毫不起眼的爽朗女性。她恬靜地開始“透視”典子的前世，並娓娓道來…“你的前世，是活躍於15世紀文藝復興時期的天才雕刻家·Desiderio
da Settignano。”然後，她還將Desiderio的人生…出生地、家人、死因、代表作等，
“通過透視看見的東西”接連寫下來，交給了典子。 面對於現在的自己相去甚遠的“前世”典子啞然。告辭了這名女子，典子立即開始著手調查Desiderio其人。結果竟然發現，雖然Desiderio
da Settignano在日本不為人知，但卻是曾經影響過達芬奇、米開朗基羅的實際存在過的人物！ 說不定她把美術館裏寫的東西全部背下來了…”典子依然無法相信。但是，在日本能到手的資料裏所寫的Desiderio的人生及作品，卻和那名女性所講述的內容有所出入。尤其是她所說的 “Desiderio的代表作”的那些作品，不管哪本專業書裏面都記錄為了其他人的作品。
“我想知道真相！”無法抑制自己的好奇，典子飛往15世紀時Desiderio生活的城市——義大利亞的佛羅倫斯。 隨著逐漸接觸Desiderio遺留的作品，追溯其人生歷程，新的事實呈現在了典子面前，並將她引向了更深奧的迷宮（labyrinth）…最終，呈現在眼前的，是顛覆500年歷史長河中的美術史定論的新事實。
