BRIEF SUMMARY:
Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo is back with a new cast. The new Hajime Kindaichi is
Arashi's Jun Matsumoto and Miyuki Nanase is played by Ann Suzuki. The two kids
are on their way to solve a murder case, what they didn't know it's they are
also on the murder list.

自稱「來自地獄的傀儡師」寄了恐嚇信要求警方搭乘火車往北海道死骨原，並在火車旅途上藉著戲謔的魔術手法，一再犯案，「幻想魔術團」的團長﹑團員先後遇害身亡。
眼看金田一(松本潤)已掌握解謎關鍵，兇手遂起殺機，將金田一誘至沼澤，幸虧劍持警官及時趕來相救。碰巧休假中的明智警官也在火車上，二人聯手共展推理長才，終於破解兇手詭計，同時也解開五年前另一樁著名魔術師失足致死的意外真相。原來，兇手的犯案動機是為了復仇，而這次的死者就是當年利益薰心而犯下弒師偷藝的弟子們。
