BRIEF SUMMARY: The story is set in the snowy winter of Hokkaido, Kousuke Sato owns a convenience store which parallels to a certain national highway in Hokkaido.  His wife and daughter manages the store for him, while Kousuke goofs around town most of the time. One day, Kousuke is forced to run the store when his wife was seriously injured in a car accident. Having not work at the store for so long, the unwilling Kousuke has to learn everything from the beginning. Getting stuck between the daughter who barely talks to him and the employees who comments him as slow learner. Kouskue starts to doubt his ability as father and a store owner. Working the night shift, he starts to notice that a young girl comes in the store to buy a box a candy every night ......The girl catches his attention and waiting the girl to come in every night slowly becomes part of  Kousuke's life.
