BRIEF SUMMARY:  Sakaki Ryo is a young man in the outskirts of Tokyo and has experienced a series of setbacks in life - such as giving up his childhood dreams of playing soccer and being unable to settle into a job. One day, his best friend Eitaro tells, the number-one host of a Roppongi club. Wanting to help out Eitaro, Ryo heads to Roppongi with him to try to settle the matter. After the arrogant Renjo issues Ryo a challenge, Ryo enters the world of the nightlife in an effort to compete against Renjo as a host.

劇 情﹕  由小學館《BIG COMIC SPITZ》上連載的倉科遼的漫畫《帝王》為原作改編而成。冢本飾演用堅強的信念、友情做為武器，在夜店的世界裡不斷向上爬的男人。由於朋友的戀人被牛郎俱樂部的頭牌搶走，他以此為契機，為了戰勝那個頭牌，義無反顧踏入牛郎業界。倉科遼的原作《夜王》於05年被TBS改編，同年東京電視台改編了《娘王》，07年朝日電視台將《女帝》改編為電視劇成為當年度的話題之作
