BRIEF SUMMARY:
In the past six months, Nagata Kazuo (Nishijima Hidetoshi) has
been told that he is being laid off, his wife Miyoko (Igawa Haruka) wants
divorce, and their son Hiroki (Yokoyama Kota) will not stop violence at home.
And in Kazuo’s heart is an antagonism with his father Tadao (Kagawa Teruyuki)
who has end-stage cancer. As Kazuo sits on a bench in front of a train station
wondering where he has gone wrong, a wine-coloured wagon suddenly appears. The
person driving it is Hashimoto Yoshiaki (Yoshioka Hidetaka) who should have died
five years ago. His son Kenta (Takagi Serai) riding with him should be dead too.
Kazuo boards this mysterious wagon with the two of them and in the course of
going round to important places of the past, he starts to learn how things went

故事的主角永田一雄，三十八歲。他的家庭成員有同年齡的太太和就讀國一的兒子廣樹。一家人住在東京郊外的大樓，過著表面上看似相安無事的生活。但不久，兒子廣樹卻開始性情大亂，妻子行蹤不明的外出也變得越來越多。加上他又正巧被公司解雇、意外失業。就在整個家庭即將面臨瓦解之際，一雄突然有「尋死」的念頭。
也在這時候，他遇見了一對開著旅行車到處兜風的幽靈父子。他坐上了那輛酒紅色的旅行車，等他回過神來的時候，發覺自己竟置身在一處令他懷念不已的地方，一處對他而言非常重要的場所…
