　「手指」劇情內容改編自推理大師松本清張的同名小說，後藤真希飾演一位小牌舞台劇演員，利用當紅劇團演員高岡早紀和社長夫人萬田久子之間的三角關係，一路爬到演藝界的頂點，卻被星野真里飾演的八卦節目記者，意外揭開陰暗的過去。
　本劇改編自日推理大師松本清張的同名原著「手指」，在1982年時曾首次搬上螢幕，由女星名取裕子領銜主演，並獲得了28％的超高收視率，創下了火曜懸疑劇場史上最高記錄。此次由早安家族中享有盛名的人氣偶像後籐真希重新演繹的新版「手指」，也將被期予厚望。除後籐以外，高岡早紀和萬田久之以及星野真理也將參與演出，前兩人將分別在劇中飾演和後籐同劇團的女演員以及社長夫人，她們兩人將和後籐牽扯出一段糾纏不清的同性三角戀情，並成為後籐登上演藝顛峰的墊腳石。
　該片的制作人前田伸一郎表示後籐幼年時就有涉足演藝圈的經歷和主人公有重疊之處，相信對她的表演有所幫助。同時前田還表示片名“手指”在日文中亦有情色的象徵，怎樣用手指的概念表現出性的美感，也是本劇的精彩看點之一。
