BRIEF SUMMARY:
Hasumi Kyoko (Tokiwa Takako) quit being a lawyer to support her husband Soichiro
(Karasawa Toshiaki) and raise their children (Kobayashi Kika, Ando Miyu) as a
full-time housewife. But one day, her husband who now heads the Special
Investigation Department of the Tokyo District Public Prosecutors Office, is
suddenly arrested on suspicion of corruption, and a sex scandal with a news
journalist Toyama Aki (Aibu Saki) also comes to light. Kyoko decides to resume
her career as a lawyer to protect her children. With the help of Tada Masahiro
(Koizumi Kotaro), who was doing a legal apprenticeship at the same time that she
was, Kyoko is hired on probation at the law firm that he jointly runs with
Kamiyama Yoshie (Kaku Chikako). However, she has to contend not only with public
scrutiny as the betrayed wife, but also a 16-year void as a lawyer and fight
against the odds every day. Nevertheless, she holds strong convictions and even
turns her own weaknesses to her advantage and thrives.
