BRIEF SUMMARY:   This is a true story of the 1968 Olympic boxing bronze medalist Eiji Morioka.  After he hung up gloves for good because of detached retina in 1971, Eiji felt lost after  the unfortunate accident. He started drinking and hung out at the local bar day and night.  The once bread winner is no longer able to support the family financially. All of the sudden,  the responsibility of making money for the household of him and kids fell on his wife's shoulder. His only daughter became increasingly angry, resentful and embarrassed at his useless father. Eiji's wife eventually left him and the kids due to the harsh lifestyle she had to endure. Angry and alone, all there is left to the little girl's name is a stray kitty she found in a box.

劇 情﹕   本片故事是以日本拳擊界最傳奇的拳擊家－森岡榮治的一生為基底。 1968年，拳擊正風行的時代，森岡榮治以新生代拳擊手之姿，於墨西哥奧運拿下一面銅牌獎牌，歸國後卻在一次比賽中意外傷及右眼，導致右眼喪失視力，黯然引退。 自此之後，榮治便夜夜笙歌、遊手好閒，家庭的重擔全落到妻子和江肩上，而將這一切都看在眼裡的是他們的女兒治子。治子變得瞧不起自己的父親，常對榮治惡言相向，而榮治也不以為意，仍然我行我素、夜夜買醉玩女人。某天，和江再也無法忍受這樣的生活，決定離開這個家，無法挽留媽媽的治子，只剩下撿回來的小貓，可以做她情感上的寄託…
