BRIEF SUMMARY: Himawari is an unsuccessful 39-year-old enka singer. She has bad luck with men and money. Born in an Osaka takoyaki shop, the young Himawari was inspired by her father's words to immerse herself in Japanese enka. However, when she was 13, her father disappeared. Her mother who'd remarried, treated her harshly. After graduating from high school, Himawari heads to Tokyo and makes her debut as an enka singer.

劇 情﹕演歌歌手大河內向日葵(39)的故事，主人翁事事不如意，年幼時父親人間蒸發，再婚母親討厭她，成為演歌歌手後唱片賣不出，欠下一身債，戀愛又不順利。《女王的教室》的天海冰冷無表情，《演歌女王》則是苦情戲，七情上面。天海祐希主唱劇中演歌，難不到寶塚出身的她。劇中她愛上一個令人走厄運的男子，她對此感情的執着令她走衰運，但她不怨天尤人，勇敢面對命運挑戰，有點「21世紀版亞信」的味道。
